The 203 Scenic Area is located at Shibanqiao, Lushun, and is a national forest park and provincial cultural heritage protection site. The area is named after the 203-meter elevation of 203 Hill, which was a major battlefield on the western front during the Russo-Japanese War. The 203 Cherry Blossom Garden covers 50,000 square meters with lush vegetation and beautiful scenery, featuring over 5,000 cherry trees of nearly 30 varieties from China and abroad. It is currently the largest cherry blossom garden in Northeast China with the most trees and most complete variety. The garden mainly features Chinese cherry, Japanese early cherry, double-flowered cherry, and mountain cherry, as well as rare varieties such as American green cherry, Canadian red-leaf cherry, and Japanese weeping cherry. The 203 Cherry Blossom Garden serves as the main venue for the annual China Dalian Lushun International Cherry Blossom Festival, making it the premier destination for spring outings, cherry blossom viewing, and scenic appreciation. | |||||||||
